Tabaqat Fahil, known in ancient times as Pella, is one of the most significant and diverse archaeological sites in Jordan. Located in the north Jordan Valley, the site offers visitors the rare opportunity to see remains from multiple historical periods in one place, spanning thousands of years of human settlement.
Pella was once part of the Decapolis, a group of Greco-Roman cities in the region, but its history reaches much further back.
